Lively crimson. Still lots of blue in the colour. Inexpressive for the moment. Just this side of being too severe and tough. (JR)

Scent of pencil shavings and a bright ruby colour. The fruit here is round and sleek although the finish is slightly hot. (JR)

A bit mealy on the nose. Lots of acidity. Fresh and lively but a bit stolid. More guts than Duhart. Long. (JR)
