Score 92/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound
Here the aromas are reticent, even brooding and considerable swirling is required to coax the cool red berry fruit and earth notes to reveal themselves. The moderately structured and intensely mineral flavors are exceptionally pure and attractively textured and I really like the finishing energy as this is as vibrant on the finish as the nose is quiet. Classy and sophisticated but austere and this is definitely built to age as even with extended airing, the structure remains very firm. Allen Meadows, Burghound Apr01,2009
