Medium red. Less expressive on the nose today than the Chapelle, hinting at strawberry, meat, earth and nutty oak. More tightly wound today, with minerality and a note of licorice adding to the impression of vivacity. Much more rectilinear wine, finishing firm and tight.

Deep, bright red. Vibrant aromas of raspberry and minerals; higher-pitched than the Chapelle. Pure, bright and minerally; tight and penetrating. More sharply delineated and less gamey than the foregoing samples. Offers lovely energy in the mouth. Finishes firmly tannic, precise and long. Almost Chambolle-like in style, with less obvious oakiness than the Chapelle.
