Mid crimson. Sweetly aromatic with red fruit and oak's creamy spice. Firmer and drier on the palate but there's a lively fruit freshness too. Moreish and harmonious in a lighter mode. (JH)

There is a noticeable hint of menthol to the pungently earthy and sauvage dark berry fruit aromas. The medium-bodied flavors possess a velvety palate impression as the supporting tannins are phenolically mature and well-integrated on the moderately firm and overtly rustic finish where there is some perceptible wood influence. This is really very good and worth considering. Tasted: Apr 15, 2014. Drink: 2020+
