Stylistically closer to the Grèves with even better richness and power though it is not quite as complex and does not deliver the same level of finesse. Somewhat animale in character though not at all rustic. Very fine and quite long and not quite as structured as the other two Corton grands crus. Allen Meadows, Burghound, Apr01,2002.

Medium red, with a pale rim. Aromas of redcurrant, tobacco, smoke and milk chocolate. Sweet, spicy red fruit and chocolate flavors offer lovely purity and brightness. Seductive, ripe wine, in the rather gentle style of the vintage. Its harmonious acidity should enable this wine to develop positively with bottle aging.
