Not desperately expressive on the nose but glorious fruit on the palate. Tight initially but there’s a convincing spread across the palate. Reined in on the finish. Should make great old bones. (JR)

Medium red. Highly perfumed, pungent aromas of red cherry, rose petal and dried herbs. Sweet, fresh and gentle, with ripe acids framing and lifting the sexy flavors of tangy red fruits, flowers and minerals. This already boasts lovely inner-mouth aromatic character and terrific juicy persistence on the back. Grand cru Corton with a light touch. Etienne de Montille grafted part of this parcel over to chardonnay (Corton-Charlemagne) in 2004 and uprooted the rest after the 2006 harvest.
