Tasting notes
Bright, full yellow-green. Aromas of stone fruits, honey and spices. Sweet and creamy-rich in the mouth, but with harmonious acidity giving shape to the ripe stone fruit flavors. Finishes dry, firm and persistent. An excellent village wine.

(from Tillets, Narvaux, Clos du Cromin and Chevaliers): Pale yellow-green. Classic Meursault aromas of stone fruits and acacia blossom. A sweet, spicy midweight with good energy and moderate stuffing. The high-altitude parcels in the blend give this wine good mineral lift and salinity.
Boillot's 2011 Meursault is rich, open and totally sensual. It possesses gorgeous palate presence, layered fruit and terrific balance. The round, sensual finish is totally inviting. This is a terrific entry-level offering. The Meursault is made from parcels in Narvaux, Tillets, Chevalières and Clos du Cromin.

(Not yet released) Henri Boillot recently finished his move to a new modern cellar in Champ Lins, one of the industrial sections of Meursault. Boillot describes his 2011s as having a bit more richness and better balance of fruit and acidity than the 2010s. Based on what I tasted, it’s hard to argue that point. Boillot seems to be one case where the 2011s have the potential to be better across the board than the 2010s. As is often the case here, the village wines are particularly strong.
