Good ruby-red. Reduced aromas of dark raspberry, mocha and espresso. Offers good stuffing but only moderate ripeness, with flavors of herbs and pepper carrying through on the slightly dry finish.

Known as Ch Bourgneuf-Vayron on the French market. Some succulence on the palate. Fresh if slightly simple fruit. There is vitality here even if the nose seems more developed than many. Fresh fruit – relatively simple and even slightly rustic. Bumptious and jolly – not sophisticated but should provide quite a bit of pleasure. (JR)
