Score 90/100 · Drink 1996-2010, Robert Parker, Dec 1992
The 1990 Pommard-Les Argillieres offers a stunning nose of spring flowers, toasty new oak, and black fruits. Deep, full-bodied, and concentrated, with considerable tannic clout, this lusty, full-throttle Pommard needs 4-5 years in the cellar, and should evolve gracefully through the first decade of the next century. I adored Lejeune's 1989s, but his 1990s are more concentrated and powerful wines. Because of their structure and tannic clout, they are less flattering than the 1989s. I am delighted to say that Lejeune bottles his wines with neither fining nor filtration. Importer: Kermit Lynch, Berkeley, CA.
