Good bright medium ruby. Brooding aromas of crushed blackberry and bitter chocolate. Plush, broad and rich, with a strong spicy character and a slightly intrusive herbal component to the dark raspberry and blackberry flavors. Strong material here, but this wine needs a few years to harmonize in the bottle.
Very dark crimson. Medium weight and fruity but very harsh. So chewy. (JR)
This is a seductive wine with a gentleness in the delivery of its flavours. Flavours range from violets, blackcurrant, plums to cedar notes. The tannins are round and ripe supporting an array of flaours on the palate. Long lingering finish completes the wine. This wine, crafted by Stephan Derenoncourt, is a great value, delicious St Emilion. Jeannie Cho Lee MW asianpalate.com
