Tasting notes
The 1989 regular cuvee displays moderate ruby/purple color, and an aroma of roasted black plums and cassis. In the mouth, it is concentrated and medium-bodied, with a silky opulence of fruit seen only in the best examples from this vintage. Long, but low in acidity, with moderate tannins, this is a smooth Pomerol. Curiously, I had rated it significantly higher prior to bottling. Anticipated maturity: 1994-2005.
