Tasting notes
De Vogüé's 2009 Chambolle-Musigny was even better, as the vintage is so well suited to near-term drinking, especially at the village level. Totally seductive and engaging, the 2009 Chambolle was a thrill a minute to drink. There are times when wine is all about pure, unrestrained pleasure. This was one of those moments. What a fabulous bottle!

The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny caresses the palate with layers of floral-infused red fruit. It is a supple, radiant Chambolle very much in the style of the vintage. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years.

Dark red. Wild, leathery, musky nose offers a strong raspberry jam quality and a decadent aspect. Supple, sweet and full, but a bit leathery and roasted for this cuvee , with a distinctly creamy texture. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins. Very rich but not my favorite style of Chambolle.
