Dark mahogany colour. Amazingly fresh and reverberant on the palate. Prune juice but freshness too. So clean! Not at all heavy even if there were some treacly notes. Dense with a hint of walnuts and barley sugar with a floral overlay. What a wine! Positively bracing – certainly life-affirming. (JR)
