Tasting notes
Very ripe peach and honey aromas are nicely lifted by a floral note. Fat, sweet and full; soft but with good fruit and floral character. Nicely concentrated, rich premier cru with a sweet, lingering, slightly warm finish. Like the village Chassagne, this has turned out well.

Aromatically revealing toasty minerals, the 2003 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Vergers (white) sports a light to medium-bodied character reminiscent of sappy minerals ensconced in liquid suede. This straightforward, pleasing wine has a long, supple finish and is a candidate for drinking over the next 3-4 years. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
Attractive mineral and liquorice notes on a base of very ripe, almost flabby, fruit. (JR)
Reduced on the nose. Fat and sweet, with good grip but some unabsorbed acidity. Has life but comes across as disjointed today.
