Tasting notes
Another excellent wine from Jean-Luc Thunevin, this 2011 exhibits attractive chocolaty, berry, raspberry and cherry fruit, good purity, medium body and a spicy finish. As always, Thunevin has produced a wine that delivers plenty of flavor and texture as well as an up-front appeal. It should drink nicely for a decade.

Purple coal. Very ripe but still fresh dark fruit, spicy damson and blueberry. Lots of extraction and charry oak, with the fruit still coming through in the middle though dominated by that charry oak. Powerful, very very oaky. (JH)
