(these vines are now 15 years old) Very ripe aromas of peach, marzipan and nutty, vanillin oak. Sweet, silky and stylish, with an enticing floral nuance and lovely ripe acidity giving the wine a light touch. More fruity and less minerally than the deeper Champs Canet, but this is round and enveloping, not to mention suave and persistent on the back end. I underrated this last year.

Aromatic orange note over hints of spiced honey from the oak. Amazing power and intensity again with a very long spicy finish. At this stage, more power than elegance. (JH)

(from vines planted in 1992) Ripe peach, nut oils and spicy oak on the nose. Fatter than the Champs-Canet, with rich, round, moderately concentrated flavors of orange creamsicle and nut oils. More about fruit than stone, but offers an enticing creamy sweetness.
