Cask sample. Nose of putty, then great and impressive weight and flavour reverberation behind. Lime and cream and pzzazz. Quite long. (JR)

(13% potential alcohol; my sample was from a representative barrel - i.e., not new - but was holding a lot of gas) Sweet aromas of peach, nuts and oak, with floral and mineral nuances. Rich, ripe and peachy in the mouth; less harmonious and aromatic today than the Champs-Canet but at least as fat and perhaps even longer on the aftertaste. This has 1.8 grams per liter of residual sugar, the highest among these 2001s.
