Good medium red. Savory, soil-driven aromas of red licorice, gingery spices, celery seed and smoky underbrush. Lower-pitched than this producer's Cote de Nuits bottlings, but with noteworthy complexity to the lush, sweet flavors of raspberry, mocha and earth. Pliant and fairly full in the context of this range not at all heavy. Finishes with sweet, supple tannins and excellent length.
