Tasting Notes
Red-ruby. Reduced, meaty aromas of leather and spice. Rich but backward, with firm acidity accentuating the somewhat rustic leather and pepper character of this very young wine. There's a lot of material-and tannin-here, but this extremely unevolved sample is hard to assess.

Very strong wood presently dominates the nose and pushes the ripe and distinctly earthy mix of red and black pinot fruit aromas to the background though the big, robust and powerful flavors are amply endowed by dry extract and a textured, concentrated and velvety finish. This is impressive as it's a big though not particularly elegant wine. Allen Meadows, Burghound. Apr01,2006
