Score 93/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound, Apr 2007

This is notably more aromatically elegant with its pretty and beautifully complex mix of red, blue and violet aromas introducing rich and relatively refined middle weight flavors that are supported by a firm core of buried tannins and outstanding length. There is so much mid-palate concentration that one could almost enjoy one of these now but I suspect that it will close down in a year or two and stay there for the better part of a decade.
