Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2003-2011, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2001
The medium to dark ruby-colored 1999 Corton has a wonderful nose packed with dense layers of assorted red fruits. Medium-bodied, rich, and sweet, it reveals candied cherries, raspberries, and blueberries in its medium-bodied, velvety-textured character. This is a lovely, powerful, concentrated wine with outstanding depth of fruit and a long, supple, jammy raspberry-packed finish. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2011. Importer: Dreyfus Ashby, New York, NY; tel. (212) 818-0770.
