Medium red, a bit less deep than the Champeaux. Fresh and floral on the nose; with less of the rustic game and earth character normally shown by this vineyard. In a more elegant, almost Chambolle-like style, with notes of juicy red fruits, flowers and underbrush. Finishes with some slightly dry wood tannins. This is less typical of the vineyard owing to the lack of sunshine in 2004, admits Fourrier.

(vines planted in 1928) Medium red. Sweet, wild aromas of small wild red berries, underbrush, truffle and meat; I thought I picked up a whiff of honey. Solid, dense and wild, with superb acidity giving shape and grip to the red berry and truffle flavors. Very light on its feet. This will need a good five years of bottle aging.
