Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, the base wines are fermented in a mixture of stainless-steel tanks, large oak vats and small French oak barrel, two years’ lees ageing. Vegan. RS 7 g/l. Distinctly leesy and biscuity on the palate. Plenty of richness but seems a pretty mature sample? I am normally a fan of Pelorus but there was more evolution than I expected. Complex, layers of flavour, crisp lemony acid. As part of a mixed six, this would sell for £22.99. (AWH)
A dry and crisp sparkling with aromas of green apples, white pepper, white grapefruits and biscuits. Light to medium body with a dry, biscuity palate. Fresh and focused. Drink now.
Attractive, yeasty influence here with dried-peach and biscuit notes. The palate has plenty of flavor, in the nectarine and fresh bread-dough zone. Good balance. A blend of 60% chardonnay and 40% pinot noir. Drink now.
