Tasting notes
Renou's Bonnezeaux Cuvee Zenith is one of the finest wines I tasted in my visit to the Loire. Revealing intense aromas of candied lemons, apricots and white peaches, this wine's silky, massively sweet, hyper-concentrated core of fruit offers poached pear, honey, maple syrup, peach, sweet cherry and mineral flavors. An astounding extraction of fruit and sugar is present yet the wine is not heavy. It is exceedingly well-defined and focused, possessing a formidable yet totally integrated acidity that will allow this wine to age almost forever. Projected maturity: 2005-2035+. Importer: Christopher Canaan (Europvin), French Fax # 011-33-5-57-87-43-22.
