Smells rich and spicy and a note of orange. Lots of oak spice on the palate but a touch dilute in the middle – rather oily and a bit hot on the finish. Barley-sugar flavour on the finish even though it is dry. (JH)

60% Sauvignon Blanc, 38% Sémillon, 2% Muscadelle. Starts very creamy, then green fruited. Only 20% of the wine went through malo. Rich and creamy in the mouth, mealy from the oak. A touch reductive but it doesn't obscure the citrus freshness. Broad and rich with good depth. Long spicy finish. (JH)
