Tasting notes
This extraordinary wine is fully mature, but is easily capable of lasting another 7-10 years. An incredibly complex nose of loamy soil, sweet cedar, truffles, garrigue, pepper, and oodles of black currant and blackberry fruit is followed by a dense, full-bodied, gorgeously pure, elegant, complex, well-balanced effort. It is another seamless example of Barossa Shiraz made in a style that has become remarkably well-focused and refined. Bravo!

Saturated ruby. Pungent aromas of crushed blackberry, minerals, graphite, bitter chocolate and mint. Superconcentrated and dense; almost painful essence-of-dark-berry flavors are at the edge of overripeness but almost miraculously retain their balance thanks to adequate acids and chewy extract. Thick but sharply detailed. Finishes with great length and verve.
