75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Tannat, 6% Malbec. TA 3.40 g/l (sulphuric) , pH 3.40. Impressively lively on the nose, but the palate is a little metallic and dry. Still very much drinkable and enjoyable – but not in peak condition. Starting to show its bones. (RH)

Very deep dark crimson colour. The nose is briary and southern in character with the Cabernet Sauvignon not particularly dominant. The wine is particularly opulent and rich in flavour, even if lacking intensity. Again, acid predominates and there is still lots of tannin. This must have been a monster in its time. (JR)
