Tasting notes
This is only the second commercial release of the wines from Angelo Gaja’s sizeable – 250 acres of vineyards and still growing – new property in Bolgheri on the Tuscany coast. One of the objectives, from the start, was to make important quantities of wine of a significant level, and the 2002 Magari, which might be called the “deuxieme vin” of this Bordeaux-styled operation fits the bill with its fresh and ripe berry sensations, pleasurable light notes of herbs, vigor, length, and sweet fruit.
