Score 89-91/100 · Pierre Rovani
With the 1996 vintage Mikulski has catapulted himself into the top echelon of Meursault's producers. Displaying elegant flowers and minerals on the nose, the Meursault Poruzots has outstanding intensity and richness in its superbly well-focused, silky, medium-to-full-bodied, pear and white plum-laden flavor profile. This impressive Poruzots should be at its peak between 1999 and 2006. The rating, with the range of scores in parentheses, indicates the wine was tasted from cask, not bottle.
