Tasting notes
Medium red. Cool aromas of raspberry, maraschino cherry and menthol. Supple and silky, with lovely cut and energy. Juicy, vibrant and fruit-driven, though not especially complex. Finishes with firm but pliant tannins. This will be lovely early on, but can also be held for three or four years.

Bright, deep red-ruby. Musky aromas of raspberry and coffee. Sweet, fleshy and concentrated; a strong, rich, chocolatey, rather unsubtle Chambolle villages Possesses an impressively firm spine of tannins and acids and good length, but is a bit hardened today by its sulfur. The various components of this promising village wine were combined at the outset.
Cask sample . Quite oaky nose, then wild and daring on the palate. Not stolid, but potentially exciting. (JR)
