The 2010 Malartic-Lagravière Blanc, a blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Sémillon, has an effervescent bouquet with orange sorbet and white peach aromas. It is very well defined, playful even. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, quite linear and taut at the beginning but it brims over with energy: brisk and spicy with a dab of lemongrass towards the persistent finish. It does not have the density of other vintages but it compensates through sheer energy. Tasted at the vertical tasting at Malartic-Lagravière.

This full-bodied blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Semillon hit 14.5% natural alcohol. It is deep and rich, with loads of caramelized grapefruit, tropical fruit, subtle oak, wet stones and plenty of melons. Drink now-2035.
This is a fresh, vibrant Malartic-Lagraviere Blanc but it is not as complex and layered as the 2009. Nice balance and texture with a firm backbone of acidity. Enjoy fairly young though the acidity and good intensity suggests it will keep for many years. asianpalate.com
About the producer
One of few estates classified for both red and white wine production, Malartic-Lagravière was renovated entirely after the Bonnie family purchased it in 1996. They also expanded the property to its current 53 hectares.
