Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 2003
This wine was fully mature within a decade of the vintage and now seems to be slowly in decline. This one-time opulent, rather explosively aromatic wine is now showing some dry tannins in the finish. The fruit seems to have mellowed out and no longer has the sweetness and exuberance it once possessed. Anticipated maturity: Drink up. Last tasted, 3/02.
