Score 91/100 · Drink 2019-2030, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Mar 2019

The 2009 Clos Haut-Peyraguey has a pale to medium gold color and nose of dried tropical fruit, praline, ginger, beeswax and honey. Maturing, it is rich, lively and savory in the mouth with a stewed tea finish.

Bernard Magrez’s name is mentioned seven times on the labels – plus his photograph. Tasted blind. Deep orangey gold. Very cheesey nose. Then very sweet, rather soft and floral palate. Not quite refreshing enough. (JR)

Honeyed gold. Very little nose. Big and very sweet – almost burnt – but not very subtle. (JR)
