Score 86/100 · Drink 1989-2003, Robert Parker, Jan 1998

Much rounder and fruitier than the 1983, the 1982 is very dark ruby with an intense cassis bouquet, round, generously endowed, luscious flavors, high but velvety tannins, and a fine, heady finish. Anticipated maturity: Now-2003. Last tasted, 1/89.
