Score 86/100 · Drink 1991, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
One of the best wines of the vintage (clearly the best Pomerol), Trotanoy's 1974 is now fully mature and should be drunk over the next 2-3 years. Uncommonly concentrated and surprisingly ripe and fruity, this medium- to full-bodied wine has a smooth, mocha, coffee, chocolate-tasting finish. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 2/91.

About the producer

Trotanoy
Château Trotanoy was one of the first recognised Premier Cru sites on the Pomerol plateau, with records dating back to the late 1700s. Even back in the nineteenth century it was seen as the best site in Pomerol second only to Vieux Château Certan.
