Score 87/100 · Drink 2015-2023, Robert Parker, Apr 2015
This 2012 comes across as a well-made, over-achieving wine from this property. Dense ruby/purple, with notes of vanilla, spice box, earth and plenty of blackcurrants, it is medium-bodied, with ripe tannins, in a classic, traditional style. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

Slightly unkempt: chewy tannins and hint of animal character on the nose. Not entirely clean? Certainly very bitter, anyway. (RH)

Dark crimson. Simple and all about framework not fruit. Hard work, very chewy. (JR)
