The 1970 Barolo is certainly slightly past maturity yet shows no signs of oxidation. Sweet red fruits, flowers, licorice, and a hint of minerality all emerge from this medium-bodied Barolo that just glides across the palate. It has an alluring sweetness of fruit and plenty of length and is a regal, old Barolo.
