Tasting notes
High alcohol for a Barolo! Dusty, sweet and charred. Lots of excitement so long as you are not looking for an ethereal Barolo. Big bruiser. With red cherry and game notes. (JR)

Good full, deep red. Musky aromas of game, underbrush, chocolate and leather, with a slight raisiny hint. Sweet, fleshy and easygoing; round, chocolatey and approachable right now. Finishes with substantial soft, fine-grained tannins. Perfectly balanced to give early pleasure.
Lots of flowers and dark fruits on the nose, with hints of wet earth. Full bodied, with bright fruit and silky tannins. Vivid acidity and ultra-clean fruit character gives a wonderful young wine. So fab to taste now but give it two or three years to come even more together.
The 2007 Barolo is a fabulous entry-level wine laced with dark red fruit, smoke and anise, all of which come together nicely in the glass. This possesses outstanding concentration and depth in an utterly engaging, up-front style. The round, textured finish makes it hard to resist a second taste.
