Score 88/100 · Robert Parker

Overall, the limestone soils in St.-Emilion fared far better in the hot, dry conditions of June, July and August, 2003 than those vineyards planted on gravel and sand. The 2003 Magdelaine displays a southern Rhone-like cherry liqueur note as well as background chalkiness/minerality, medium body and a fully mature style. However, its narrow, short finish kept my score from going higher. Consume it over the next 4-5 years. Aug 2014, www.robertparker.com
