A terrific effort from Magdelaine, the 1995 possesses a saturated ruby/purple color, and a sweet, kirsch, and black cherry-scented nose with notes of sexy toast and vanillin. The wine is ripe, rich, and full-bodied, with outstanding intensity, purity, and equilibrium. It is a beautiful, harmonious, long, surprisingly seductive and accessible Magdelaine that will have many admirers. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2020. Feb 1998, www.robertparker.com
