Leroy's 2007 Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Lavières is drinking beautifully today, offering up aromas of red berries mingled with peonies, orange rind and incense, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered palate. Comparatively open and giving by the standards of the domaine, it's comparatively dense and concentrated by the standards of the vintage.

The 2007 Nuits Saint Georges Aux Lavières from Leroy is a wine of pure texture. Deep, rich and beautifully layered, the 2007 impresses for its depth and pure silkiness. Spice and tobacco nuances add complexity on the sensual, inviting finish.
Good full medium red. More primary red fruit and mineral aromas than the Pommard. Juicy, spicy and fairly fine-grained. Not a big wine but very sweet and easygoing, even a bit decadent. Finishes with dusty tannins.
