Score 86/100 · Drink 2013, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2013

The 1993 Pommard Clos des Epeneaux is more fragrant on the nose compared to the 1991, with scents of black fruit, balsam, black olive compote and wild mushroom – almost New World in style. It has better level of acidity than the 1991, although it is rather sweet and consequently lacks tension towards the finish. Drink now. This tasting was organized by UK importer Howard Ripley Ltd. Ticket was paid in full by The Wine Advocate.
