Tasting notes
Bright ruby-red. Currant and tobacco on the nose, along with some exotic oak tones. Not hugely fleshy but nicely fresh for the vintage, with a flavor of sweet dark raspberry. Finishes with dusty, strong tannins and very good persistence. This is developing nicely.

Medium ruby. Slightly stewy aromas of dark berries and shoe polish. Sweet, ripe, fat and pliant but not yet showing complexity. This will require another look next year.
This deep ruby/purple-tinged, sexy St.-Emilion boasts jammy kirsch liqueur, blackberry, and raspberry fruit flavors, medium body, low acidity, heady alcohol, and a plump, concentrated finish. It is made by the cellarmaster for all the Gerard Perse estates (Monbousquet, Pavie-Decesse, Pavie, and Bellevue-Mondotte). Sadly, there are only 2,700 bottles of this seductive 2003. Enjoy it during its first 7-8 years of life.
