I had higher hopes for this cuvee based on cask tastings, but in bottle, it is a straightforward Pomerol with soft, round black cherry and berry fruit intermixed with whiffs of wood, earth and spice. Drink this mid-weight, fresh 2008 over the next decade.

Very sweet blueberry fruit. Lots of freshness exaggerating the firmness of the tannins. Dense and a real bite of tangy flavour. Needs time. (JH)
