Tasting notes
Score 86/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous

The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino shows the signs of excessive French oak in its oxidative aromas and dry tannins. There is good depth and concentration in the fruit, but the wine lacks energy. The tannins are excruciatingly hard. It is hard to see this wine ever finding a sense of balance. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2020. Apr 2012, www.robertparker.com
