Score 88/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Monica Larner, Wine Advocate, Feb 2014

Fabio Pellegrini’s 1997 Brunello di Montalcino opens to rustic and mature aromas of cured meat, dried fruit and chewy vinous overtones that recall raisin or dried berry. This is a shapely wine in terms of its mouthfeel that delivers very dry astringency and good endurance on the close. Drink: 2014-2019.
