Score 87/100 · Daniel Thomases, Vinous
Solid, saturated garnet. Powerful aromas of plum and lovely wood. Intensely flavored and concentrated, but with some roughness of tannins and a perceptible astringency on the finish. This clearly needs extended bottle aging, but I have some doubts about its future evolution. The wines of Antonio Mastrojanni have become less tannic in recent years, but there is still some way to go.
