Tasting notes
RS 0 g/l. Pale to mid ruby. Very fragrant. Lightly herbal. Drier and more dusty tannins but more gentle on the finish than the Cornish point. Mouthwatering and juicy but not simple. Delicious. (JH)

Pale to medium deep ruby-purple in color, the 2011 Block 3 Pinot Noir has earthy, yeasty, baking bread overtones that envelop a core of red plums, mulberries and pomegranate with hints of milk chocolate and tree bark. Medium-bodied, it is quite structured in the mouth, with crisp acid, a medium level of grainy tannins and a long, earthy finish. It needs a year or two of aging and will drink to 2020+. Medium red. Musky dark raspberry, wild herbs and smoke on the nose. Big, plush and deep; the broadest of these 2011 pinots but not yet showing its fruit on the palate. Darker in character than the foregoing samples and structured to evolve slowly in bottle. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins and excellent length.
