I remember this wine from my college days in the early 1970s, when it was basically an innocuous, watery, vapid St.-Emilion, but this is a completely different animal. Lively black cherry and raspberry fruit intermixed with subtle oak and tar is followed by a round, generously constructed, richly fruity, pure wine to drink over the next 7-8 years.
