The 1989 Meursault-Rougeot presents a huge nose of minerals, buttery tropical fruit, long, super-rich flavors, good acidity and structure, as well as a dazzling finish. Drinkable now, it should evolve splendidly over the next 5-6 years. Jean-Francois Coche-Dury is one of the greatest winemakers on planet Earth. He continues to produce dazzling wines from unbelievably tiny yields, taking the maximum risk by bottling his wines with no filtration. His spectacular 1989s are worth a special effort to obtain. Importer: Kermit Lynch Selections, Berkeley, CA.
